-Amorphophallus comes from the Greek word “amorphos” means “mishapen”, and “phallus” means “penis”
-Local people named this two species as “balbag”
-Traditionally used as feed extender to pigs (corm),
-Its shoots are edible while young
-Its corm are boiled like yam
