SEP @ 23 on 3G: Goals, Gains and Going Forward 2015

Overview

The SEP talk was designed based on the TEDx Talk. The SEP talk was one of the highlight activities of 23rd SEP Anniversary Celebration. With the theme “Palawan and the Future”, there were 5 presentations or talks delivered by some members of the Scientific Advisory Panel, and a partner in Jeju Island Biosphere Reserve (Korea). The resource speakers were given 18 to 30 minutes, although during the actual presentation some speakers extended up to 45 minutes. After the five SEP Talks, few questions from the audience were entertained. Awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to the resource speakers was done after all of questions from audiences were answered.

There were 196 registered attendees from various sectors coming from government agencies, academic institutions, media and non-government organizations. The program started at 9:17 AM. The certificate of appreciation was awarded at 12:51 PM.

Dr. Rafael Creencia, thinking that there is one important topic left out or not addressed in the series of presentations, volunteered to present his expertise on the livelihood programs that are feasible for the province of Palawan.

Governor Jose A. Alvarez graced and wrapped up the event by giving his impromptu message, talking about the challenges and current issues in the province.

Full video coverage and live streaming of SEP Talks were done through the Palawan Knowledge Platform (PKP) website (www.pkp.pcsd.gov.ph). After the SEP Talks, full videos of presentations are to be uploaded in youtube and powerpoint presentations are uploaded in the PKP website.
