Coron municipality is part of the Calamianes Group of Islands specifically located within 11.7—12.47o N and 120.0—120.4o
E at the northern region of Palawan. This municipality shares the large island of Busuanga and has a mandate over the southeast half of it. Coron boasts of 24 barangays and 32 islands (excluding island barangays) occupying total of 628 square kilometers of land area. A major port harbors the town proper where important commerce and trade take place.
